JOB POSITION OVERVIEW

Earth Smart Solutions Product Manager, oversees the process of creating or improving products from  start to finish, working with the sales team to ensure that the products meet customer needs and business goals.
The Product Manager will be responsible of production requirements to fulfill orders.
The Product Manager will ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.

Location: 10-5081 HWY 549 W, Foothills, AB T1S 7B4
Workplace information: On site; Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
Salary: $150,000 annually / 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time; Day; During the high season (February to May) occasionally weekends and afternoons may be required
Star date: Starts as soon as possible

- 5 years or more of supervisor experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

Tasks:

- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations for the smooth operation of the manufacturing company and the production department.
- Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages.
- Preparing cost analysis when developing a new product
- Plan and mange the establishement of departmental budget: Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets nd timescales with clients and managers.
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets: Plan and estimate labour and materials; Selecting ordering and purchasing materials.
- Planning and orgfanizing production scedules and daily operations.
- Evaluate daily operations
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, productions systems and methods of work.
- Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacements of machines
- Develop productions schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning of the company.
- Direct quality control inspections: Determining quality control standards
- Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques: Supervising and managing the work of junior staff, organizing relevant training sessions.
- Ensuring every step of the product development procees proceeds as planned
- Ensurng that health and safety regulations are met
- Making adjustments to product plans when things aren't working
- Presenting new ideas/opportunities to executives
